This is the University in Lund – the main building here from 1882 – and the University have roots from 1438. It is very beautifully situated in Lundagård close to the Cathedral.
From Wikipedia:
“Lund University (Swedish: Lunds universitet), located in Lund in southernmost Sweden, is one of Sweden’s most prestigious universities[3] and one of Scandinavia‘s largest institutions for education and research[4][5][6][7], frequently ranked among the world’s top 100 universities[8][9][10]. The university was founded in 1666 and is the second oldest Swedish university, but can arguably trace its roots back to 1438, when a studium generale was founded in Lund.[11]”
Nice building.
Lovely Lund!
